Description

You just found the perfect spot for your pet's morning nap, afternoon siesta or all-day snooze fest. The BRINDLE Shredded Memory Foam Pet Bed is designed for lasting comfort and easy care. High quality orthopedic memory foam eliminates pressure points, while a soft yet durable fabric cover offers comfort. Shredded memory foam allows for better airflow between foam clusters for a cozy, breathable sleep surface. Inside the bed, stitched inner baffles hold the foam pieces in place, so they don't shift or clump while your pet sleeps. For easy care, the plush cover is removable, machine washable and dryer safe. Simply unzip the cover to remove and wash. Pad itself is not washable. There are a few things to consider when choosing a pet bed for your best friend, like where you will use the bed and how your pet sleeps. If you plan to use it in the kennel or in the car, you'll want to measure the exact space the bed will fill. Many BRINDLE pet beds are designed to fit standard kennel dimensions. If you are using the bed in an open space, like your living room or bedroom, consider your pet's sleep position. If your pet sleeps curled up, a small, cozy bed is ideal. If your dog spreads out in snoring, care-free sprawl, occasionally chasing dreamland squirrels, you may want to size up to accommodate. A general rule is to measure your dog from nose to rump and add 10 inches. Although no one knows your pet the way you do, these suggestions should help you select the right size bed. Note: Product images shown are for representation. The product you receive may vary slightly due to manufacturing changes.

Original Review May 2016: I purchased this because I foster dogs and the rescue I work with specializes in Rottweilers and Pit Bulls so sometimes we get really big dogs. I wanted something that would look good in my living room while still giving ample space for a large dog to lie down. It was also important for me to get a product with a removable cover so I could wash it between animals. Most of this dog bed is really good. The removable cover looks really nice and had a nice texture, and the bottom part is slightly water resistant (as in, when a dog peed on the hardwood floor right next to the bed I was able to pick the bed up and the pee hadn't soaked into the foam at all, and my current dog chews and licks his toys on it and the microfiber dries easily without staining). This bed blends in well with nicer furniture and isn't visually obnoxious, which I really like. I removed and washed the cover once and it seems to have held up. There were some wrinkles from being squished into the box and washing it softened those, and now that the bed is getting use the wrinkles have come out of the fabric. My only complaint about the bed is the smell when you first open it - it smells absolutely awful. It takes a good few days to air out, so if you can, buy this during the nicer weather months when you can leave windows open to let the chemically smell dissipate. I would recommend opening the box outside if you can and removing the foam inner from the liner and airing it all out for at least a few days when you first get it (the foam is the part that smells, so be sure to remove the inner padding from the cover to really let air get to this, just taking the bed out of the box isn't enough). The smell is much less offensive (pretty much gone) now that the bed has aired out and been used, but I do wonder about health concerns/issues and the off gassing of this product (which I think would be similar to any other memory foam product).I first gave this bed 3 stars because of the smell, but I'm actually considering buying another smaller one for the dog crate because I really like it. It looks great, my current pup loves it (56 lb boxer/rottie mix) and is holding up well so far, so I've upgraded my review to 4 stars and I would give it 5 if it were not for the terrible smell at first.Update January 2017:Even though this bed has been used daily from July until recently, we had to throw it out this week. Our boxer/rottie, up to 62 lbs (he's filling out and putting on muscle) recently had his only accident due to atypical circumstances and peed straight through the bed. If this bed gets soiled, there is no way to clean it. I contacted the manufacturer for advice, and they suggested spot cleaning, which does not work if the spill penetrates the surface. I tried taking out the memory foam and airing it out, spraying it with pet odor removing enzymes and sprinkling a baking powder and oxygen based powder pet odor absorber on it. I left the foam spread thin on towels for five days, alternating treatments, and could not get the smell out. Because the Amazon price for the bed is reasonable, we decided to keep the cover and toss the guts (we can put pillows in the cover or keep it as a 2nd cover for another bed). I am not sure if we will be replacing it with the same bed or something different. After having had this bed for 9 months and in 6 months of constant use, I can say its a good bed for the price you pay on Amazon. I checked other beds at the pet store and they cost more and don't look nearly as nice as this one. This bed is one of the nicest looking pet beds I have seen and goes really well with contemporary furniture. It is well made, with even, solid stitching and attention to detail, and the cover is microsuede so it is an elegant looking material that can be removed and machine washed and dried. The cover is durable enough for a non-destructive pet (our dog chewed his Nylabone and toys on this bed, ran across it while chasing his Kong in the house, and slept on it every night) but will get very faint stains on it over time and ours ended up with a 1 inch rip on the surface. If your dog likes to chew beds it will certainly destroy this one in no time, but if your dog respects your furniture this bed can certainly handle slightly dirty paws and saliva. This bed will slide easily across a hardwood floor - our dog crashed it into our side tables and knocking things over a few times when he ran over it while chasing a toy. Some other Brindle beds claim to have a non-slip texture on the bottom of the bed, but this one does not. The inside memory foam is in four compartments separated by baffles but the individual shredded pieces vary in size and are nearly impossible to clean - the manufacturer does not recommend it. It is like opening a box full of styrofoam packing peanuts and then trying to shove them all into a pillowcase. I feel bad throwing it out, but it is really not salvageable. In summary:PROS:Best looking dog bed I have found, goes great with contemporary furniture, does not look obnoxiousCover cleans up easily and is removable and machine washable, low pile microsuede texture doesn't trap dirt (but will hold fine dog hairs)Well cushioned and comfortable, our dog loved this bed and it supported his 62 pounds without issueDurable enough for repeated use by a dog that doesn't chew his/her bedsWell made, solid stitching and detailed constructionGood value for money, Amazon price is reasonableCONS:Terrible odor when you first unpack the bed, odor dissipates after airing the bed outCannot handle large spills, the bed interior is impossible to clean, no waterproofingSlippery on smooth floors, lacks non-slip bottom surfaceNot chew proof, would be easily destroyed by a dog that likes to chew bedsMaterials are not biodegradable, recyclable, or environmentally friendly, so if you have to throw the bed out, it will sit in a landfillUpdate May 2018: We ended up buying a second version of this bed, and it did not fluff up as much as our previous bed. Our dog never seemed to like it as much and didn't seem as comfortable on it as he did his first bed. We recently threw out the second bed because of the cleaning issue. I periodically removed the bed cover to machine wash it, but there is no way to clean the interior of this bed and it just smelled like dog. We actually have a very clean dog that doesn't have a strong doggy smell at all, and he would lie down on this bed after a bath and just smell more doggy than he had 10 minutes ago. I tried putting deodorizing spray and powder on it and letting it sit in the sun hoping the UV light would kill some bacteria, but it still just smelled like concentrated dog. The final straw was when there was a spill that soaked through the cover and into the memory foam. Note: If you catch a spill (or pee or vomit) right away it will bead off, but if it has the chance to sit for any length of time it will soak through rather quickly. Once something gets past the cover, you just can't get it out of the bedding material. Also, we ended up having two covers for the bed and at some point one of the covers got pretty mangled in our washing machine (it's a high efficiency side load washer), I'm not really sure why. We've never had our washer damage any other items, including down sleeping bags, performance clothing, lingerie, and other more fragile materials. Even though we really loved the look of this bed (it went so well with our decor) we really can't justify buying another one. I'd rather buy a bed I can wash that will last more than a year than continually buy this bed and throw memory foam into a land fill every time this bed starts to stink. This bed looks great but just isn't well suited to long term use unless you don't mind dog smell and nothing ever spills on the bed.I originally gave this bed three stars, then upgraded it to four stars, and have now dropped my review back down to three stars. My dog decently had surgery and we had to put her in a cage for protection. She hated being caged. We bought her this dog bed and now she runs to get back onto it on the cage. She can be put them cage a few hrs, but she prefers to lay on her bed. The dog had spoken.I had gone to petsmart to find a new bed for our lab puppy's crate. I found this kind and loved it but they didn't have the large size that I needed. I found it on Amazon in the size and color I wanted and for a considerable amount cheaper. This bed comes shrink packed for easy shipping and is fairly easy to unbox. It's not super heavy to move around and is easy to remove the cover for washing and putting it back on when dry. My pup likes to dig before she settles and so far this bed has held up and has a shredded memory foam core. We've had it a few months now and there's no rips or anything.I bought this bed in 2018 and it's such a great bed for the price. Easy to clean and the cover is pretty durable. My dog likes to scratch the surface before laying down and surprisingly never tore the surface till now. There's a small tear a couple inches long so it's still not too bad but I'm thinking of replacing it anyway since it's been a few years. Definitely getting another one. Both of my mastiffs love this bed! It’s made of soft chunky pieces of memory foam. There are three separate pillows inside of the bed connected together and the cover is machine washable. Overall a great buy when on sale. ?I bought this for a pound puppy I recently adopted. I have another dog bed for my 4 year old border collie, and I was so impressed with this bed that I'm buying him one to match. This bed is very supportive, washes well, it's easy to get the cover back on, and I like that it has two sides for the dog's comfort. That said, the new dog wants to claw at and bite at the "cool" side. This side of the fabric will easily shred, as it's thinner material. ANY fabric is going to shred if a dog chews at it, common sense really, so you simply have to train the dog against those destructive behaviors. I got on her about it before any tears occurred, and I have noticed that she prefers the plush side, so that's the side I keep up for her. The puppy is no longer abusing her bed and actually loves going to it for a nap. I like that the inside is packed shredded foam, because the bed can be fluffed easily and has the perfect amount of fill to keep the bed firm enough, with a gentle crown across the middle. Our older dog bed is memory foam, and it compressed fairly easily under a 35 pound dog. This bed is attractive and of very good quality, but it is not indestructible (but neither are furniture, upholstery, carpet, slippers, dog toys). If properly used, it will last a long time. Finally! A bed big enough for my shepherds. Easy to clean, surprisingly water resistant cover. My pup loves his new bed .. Perfect forLarge breed dogs !!!!This dog bed is wonderful! I read several reviews on this product and I have to say I would agree with most of the other reviewers thoughts on this bed, which I think speaks volumes on the consistency of quality and design. If I were to summarize what the most repetitive comments are in the reviews, it'd be something like: "Love the bed, love the quality and look of it, love how easy it is to clean, the dog loved it right away, so comfortable people lay on it with the dog (or without), we bought another one almost immediately".The long of it: We have a French Bulldog, Stella, who recently had surgery so we were looking for a comfortable yet supportive bed for her during recovery. This product fit the bill exactly for us. Stella went to this bed immediately to lay down and spends most of the day resting on it. It's worth mentioning that while we have tried in the past to have her become a dog who sleeps on a dog bed, she always ended up on our bed or the couch. Now, she sleeps the entire night on this bed! That did it for us, we were so blown away that she was actually using it that we bought a second one about 2 weeks after the first - one for upstairs, one for downstairs. She loves it so much, so we are thrilled with our purchase(s) and felt the need to share this feedback to anyone considering this dog bed. Also, feel the need to reiterate what the other reviewers have said about the negative reviews. This bed has quality construction and would probably fare pretty well against some light chewing (compared to less expensive options), but it is by no means indestructible. In my opinion, it is unreasonable to give it a one star rating simply because your dog chewed through it. The second most stated negative review is that people have put the entire bed into the wash and destroyed it. The product comes with instructions that very clearly tell you NOT to put the insert into the wash and to only wash the removable cover. So yes, if you know your dog to be a chewer, if you have a puppy that is teething or potty training and you're worried you won't be able to clean it if your dog has an accident, then this probably is not the right bed for your dog, otherwise do not put much stock in these reviews when making your decision. Initially, the bed was really hard because there is too much stuffing; however, I open the zipper and remove some of the stuffing and it fit better into the kennel and the dogs found him more comfortable.I always put the interior padding into a plastic bag and seal it and then I put the exterior cover on dog beds. No idea why but my seven-year-old dog wet the bed the second night. I removed the cover and it washed up really well. Glad I had the plastic covering on the interior part!Mi Perrita la súper ama, a diferencia de su cama anterior está es significativamente más esponjosa y grande, cabe muy bien. Descansa más (pasa más tiempo en ella) y al parecer al estar acostada aquí la tranquiliza mucho. Excelente compra!
