Got this for our 14 yr old German shepherd mix that can no longer get on the furniture. He weighs 80 lbs & this supports him very wellLike that we can fold it up. Holds its shape.The bed is very soft and squisy, but definitely not as thick as the pictures make it look. Otherwise it's still nice.I like it but the dog is back and forth about it as he seems to not be able to find his comfy spot with it. My favorite feature is the fact it folds in half and can sit upright on it's end out of the way when not in use.Overall, this is a good foam waterproof dog bed, it's soft, waterproof, and my dog likes it better than a blanket on the tile.The foam expanded quickly from a little over an inch thick to almost full thickness in a few hours. The 3" thickness is a little generous; after 48 hours the foam is about 2-5/8" and the cover brings it close to 3". It's still a good cushining for a puppy. Note that it does fold in the middle but it doesn't seem to cause my pup to fall in the crack at all when laying on it.The bottom is a little anti-slip pattern which does a decent job. The cover does have good waterproofing; I tested a water spill and it just pooled on top of the cover for several hours and it didn't look like it was going to seep through at all. Our puppy is still having some potty accidents so this was a big necessity.My young puppy REALLY liked the top cover and wanted to rip it off. Even with her favorite toys on it as recommended by the instructions, she still wanted to rip off the fluffy top of the bed. I ended up covering it with her normal blanket and that helped. After washing the bed cover with our detergent she seemed to leave it alone without having to have it covered but if she's not tired and gets bored she'll still treat it like it's a toy. She's only 12 weeks so she's still learning.The included instruction pamphlet has the typical English translation typos but it's easy to figure out what is intended.This also fits in her crate but we're currently using it in our kitchen and she does prefer it only after a few days!...will like this bed as a free standing bed. I was surprised at just how small it is but then I had a brilliant idea and put it into my 85pound Lab/Blood Hound mix's crate/travel case and it fits nicely. She is quite happy to stay inside the crate. I do like that the cover can be unzipped for cleaning and that it can fold in half, makes it easy to put into said crate.The waterproof/orthopedic claims may be an exercise in creative descriptions but our dog likes it and really that's all that matters. Oh, the instructions say to give your dog a chew toy to prevent them ripping up the bed. As she is 5 and has matured beyond her destructive phase -for the most part- all we have to do is make sure our 1 year old "Pit" leaves it alone.This bed folds for easier storage, which is a really nice feature. Thick foam with a soft washable cover, it is really comfy and my dog loves it. But note that it is not very large. They claim it is for dogs to 70 pounds, but my lab puppy fills it at 35 pounds, and will soon outgrow it. Otherwise a nice bed.I got XL for my Shepherd and Labrador mix, and she is 76 lbs. The bed inflated quickly after being unrolled from shipment, and she eagerly got on quickly and has been laying on it everyday since (it's been about 2 months). I can tell it supports her body and weight well because she sinks into it minimally. I was worried that it would flatten with her weight, but it seems to be supportive. I would recommend this bed.
