UPDATE: about 4 wks have passed since we started using these. one of the dogs was finally incontinent in his sleep. the blanket performed as I expected! I only had to take it off and replace it. no sheets wet. such a relief! I add at least 2 towels when I wash. I have also started just always doing an extra spin. it helps it dry faster outside. I have a few that are not true to size. one is 8 inches off! I have seen this in many reviews of other waterproof blankets though. so now I will be careful when I order and make sure I get one size larger than I think I need.this is my second review of this product. I have gotten so many amazon probably thinks I'm reselling them lol. no, I got backups and am covering 7 things! I have several different sizes and I've been using them about 3 weeks. we love them! they are on the heavy side, but husband likes it. I like the heaviness because they stay put better. it is a little noisy, but I feel like the noise gets less as time goes on or I'm used to it and don't "hear" it anymore. they need to be washed at least once before they start absorbing. some I've had to wash twice and one I had to wash 3 times. I wash on delicate, cold and now I'm using a "medium" soil setting to see if that helps it to only need to be washed once before using. I hang outside to dry since my dryer has no "low" setting. it takes quite a while to dry so I have backups. of course, neither of my 2 sleep incontinent dogs has had an accident since I got these (knock wood) lol. but if having them prevents accidents I'm good with that. highly recommend these!I had previously ordered a smaller gray version of this blanket for a chair that one of my dogs has essentially claimed as hers. It covered the seat and back, but we were constantly having to fix it when it got knocked out of place so I decided to order a bigger one. This one really is perfect. Completely covers the chair. It's very soft and velvety. No liquids are soaking through it at all. My dog loves it and it looks really nice - better than the chair underneath.One note if someone is really wanting that star pattern. Both blankets we ordered technically had that star pattern, but it was incredibly faint, not at all like it's pictured. And what very little pattern is there wears out almost immediately. It's not a deal breaker for me, but wanted to make sure people know that.I use these to absorb sweat and other bedroom fluids. They work great at making sure the sheets don’t get wet. The negative is when they are washed, the spin cycle needs to be run twice as they retain moisture very well!I have now purchased three of these. Two for beds and one to cover some antique furniture. We have both cats and dogs in the house. It always seems like one of them is sick or gets muddy feet on the bed covers requiring everything to be washed. I have one on an antique piece of furniture because the cats will not stay off of it and I don't want it scratched. It is heavy weight and stays nicely on the top of the furniture. These covers are absolutely waterproof and very easy to spot clean. When you have to wash the entire thing, just throw them in the washing machine. They look good too!I absolutely love this! This is the second one I have purchased and I would buy them for any bed that I let my dogs play on. I have one at both houses and will probably buy them for gifts for other people. They are so comfortable he would never know they are for the dogs. They also look beautiful. Great product!We have cats, dogs, kids, and WOW! THESE ARE A TRUE LIFESAVER! My toddler likes to be sneaky and dumps his water on beds and furniture ever since he figured out how to remove lids. Also cat and dogs on the bed don't bug me as much now, because this provides a good safety barrier just in case their paws or fur is damp or dirty. It can take awhile to dry in the dryer but it's a great blanket and so soft!I was pleasantly surprised by the weight and quality of this blanket cover .It's super soft. I thought it might be stiff or make crumpling noises, but not a sound. It washed great .the water dosen't spin out very well because of it being waterproof. I hang it to dry because I think the heat of the dryer might not be good for the durability.Super easy to clean and it’s so soft and it’s absolutely water resistant.
