The smell is a very strong vinegar smell. I am hopeful that it will fade. It's not as sturdy as I was hoping. Don't let your kid jump on the bed at all. The legs are long enough to offer a good amount of storage underneath. Looks exactly as advertised. Like others say you get what you pay for. If you have the money for a $300+ bed frame that you absolutely love then get that one. I got the twin size.First off, IT DOESN'T STINK. I was worried that the bed fram may smell like formaldehyde. The BED FRAME DID NOT SMELL. That was a big relief because others had complained about the smell. It smelled like new furniture...As it should. Not bad!To be honest, putting the bed frame together wasn't the easiest. It wasn't super difficult either. But just don't think you're going to get away with putting it together in 30 minutes. Not happening. I wouldn't recommend using a power drill to screw the pieces together. You could easily over torque the screws and it'd be game over.Decently priced. Firm but not too firm.Cute, and works wellThis bed frame looks great and is really sturdy! It says that it is a super easy install and only takes 30 min but I did it alone so it took much longer. Still very easy to put together, although I have had other bed frames where the wooden slats were all connected like a velcro ladder that you could just slap on easier than the individual slats that are provided and have to get individually snapped in. Otherwise I love it and its been a great improvement to our bedroom.This is a type of product that you get what you pay for. It looks nice but it’s definitely made of cheap material.This is a great deal for the money and does not slide around the floor like some of the other modelsNo bad things to say about this product. All pros for price, stable, clean, easy assembly, all tools included plus spares, no smell. Of course it's going to be heavy in the box so expect that. Very happy with this purchase.
