Our dog really liked the original Majestic Pet bagel bed, but cleaning the bed was such a challenge, requiring trips to the laundromat to use the largest washer they had and then taking FOREVER to dry. Because it was such a hassle to clean, we didn't do it that often and the bed eventually just got too funky so we decided to throw it out.When I found this version with a removable cover, I decided it was worth a try. I'm so much happier with this than the original! The removable cover is easy to clean in our home machine, which means we wash it more regularly, so the entire bed never gets as much of a deep stink as when it was one piece. To wash, I vacuum the bed entirely to remove as much dog hair on the fabric and trapped in the corners as possible. I then remove the two inner stuffing compartments and spray them with Febreeze and let them air out while washing the cover. In the warmer months I will sit them out in the sun to get some UV light for extra de-odorizing and disinfecting power. The cover gets washed with regular detergent on cold-cold and then dried on low heat. After washing, the cover is pet hair and stain free and when put back together, the bed doesn't have a lingering stale dog odor. I haven't had any issue with the zippers on the cover or refitting the filling back in once the cover is washed. The fill material can get a bit bunched up some times, but its easy enough to refluff/redistribute by hand.We have a 7 year old 65 lb boxer mix and he loves this bed. He often lies in it curled up, will rest his head on the bolster when he wants, and can easily spread out across it and droop over the sides. We got the 40" suede bed in the color stone and it seems to be an appropriate size for him. The neutral color doesn't distract from our decor.Overall I'd recommend this pet bed. If you are debating between this version and the original (which is a bit less expensive) I'd opt for this one unless you have a small dog and are getting a tiny bed that you can easily stuff in your home washing machine.I have had the 52” bed for about a year. I can wash this thing and it looks brand spankin’ new! Although either one of my GSP’s would prefer to stretch out alone on it, they curl up together on it more often than not. We’ve given in a nickname “the boat” because it’s so large it looks like a life raft for dogs. Suuuper soft and hasn’t lost one bit of its plush coziness and it’s been used nightly by 2 50 lb dogs for a year.I bought a large for my Huskey mix. He's 30lbs but he loves to stretch out and at 42" long, a medium was not going to cut it.This size is perfect with plenty of room to curl up or stretch out. The material is pretty thick, almost a canvas look to it but it's very soft. A little pricey but it is a nice, quality bed.This is by far one of the best dog beds we have purchased. We have washed it twice and the cover has held up nicely. It is easy to remove the inserts, zip up the cover and throw in the washing machine. In between washes I spot clean it from our pup chewing his bones and drool. We have the 40” size and it is perfect for our 70lb. Mixed pup. The stuffing seems to hold its shape and we’ve had this bed for several months. Go for it - you won’t regret the purchase.This is a great, beautiful, and super comfy bed. I knew I was taking a risk when buying it because my dog is a SUPER chewer (dachshund parents, this is for you), and so it happened that he poked a hole in the bottom of the bed 10 minutes after it arrived. Not the company's fault (that would probably have happened to any other bed, honestly), but I would like to give a heads up to those with heavy chewers at home. This is why we can't have nice things, Freddie!!!! (anyways, I sewed the bed and will continue to do that every time he manages to poke a hole in it, and hopefully, it will "survive" the puppy phase).This is not as ugly as most dog beds. My dog loves it. The green color is nice. The texture of the fabric is both comfortable and aesthetically pleasingI bought the 32 inch bed for my average size beagle and as you can see from the pictures it's the perfect size. I paid £12 which seems to be a special amazon prime offer considering other sellers are charging upwards of £50...The bed is really sturdy and full, unlike other bagel style beds we'd had where the sides go all limp. My Henrik jumped straight in and didn't budge for the whole afternoon. We're two very happy customers!For the price this was an absolute bargain bed. The pupster dived straight in so it's a paws up from him.Only downside it that the cushion is not removable so the whole bed has to be washed whole. Not sure how it will fit into washing machine as it is very well padded. Other than that a great dealFANTASTIC BEDS AND AT A BARGAIN PRICE ! WONDERFUL VERY PLEASED WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THESE BEDS TO ANYONE AND DID RECOMMEND TO A FRIEND WHO ALSO BOUGHT ONE :)This is exceptional.My Cockapoo puppy looks so comfortable she can stretch out completely.I would definitely recommend this Dog bed .Great bed, our 13 month old lab pup loves it and hasn't once tried to destroy it and she's (still) a serial chewer. We got this to replace the hard plastic bed that she'd destroyed and so far, so good! I would say that a Large is huge, our bitch is 23KG (relatively small for a Lab) but we could definitely fit two of her in the Large sized bed!
